Childhood Trauma
It’s okay to talk about your parents in therapy
Challenging experiences with family of origin usually become strongly highlighted once we move away from home and have space to recognize that what happened in the home was less than appropriate.
These experiences may have left developmental wounds and impact current functioning.
Emotion regulation, mood, relationships, lack of healthy boundaries may all be impacted by early experiences within the family. This may cause increased difficulties in having relationships with the family or the role we allow the family to play in our lives.
Ruta supports clients in making sense of their experiences, understanding the current impact and ways the wounds show up today, as well as building skills to gain emotional freedom from the past.
